The Animation and Rich Media Diploma could prepare students for entry level positions in the Animation and Rich Media industry. Students learn individual job skills that aid in the process used in completing a final production project. Production team members usually perform these skills in relationship to the project guidelines and schedules. This vast skill set includes, but is not limited to illustration of concepts, storyboarding, scriptwriting, use of 3D software, audio, video, and other related software.

A student can add to this diploma by taking additional classes from the Animation and Rich Media Advanced Certificate. The skills learned and demonstrated in these classes, GRD 489 , GRD 491  and GRD 424  Internship will enhance the student’s skill set. Students will collaborate on a group capstone project and produce a personal demo reel. These final projects will be like a portfolio and could be used for job interview and/or placement in another college.

This diploma is for individuals who want to develop a base skill set in Animation and Rich Media. This skill set can be added to the Visual Communications Diploma or the Graphic Design Degree to give graduates more options in the job market. Others may want this diploma to use as a base when transferring to another college that specializes in Animation. Professionals may desire these classes to build skills needed for current or new job opportunities.
